Terrence D. Fitzgerald studies the behavioral and chemical ecology of social caterpillars. Most recently, his interest has turned to processionary caterpillars, which have taken him to Mexico, Costa Rica, and Spain. Fitzgerald teaches at the State University of New York at Cortland, where he is a distinguished professor of biology.
